The world in words ...
I'm a versatile writer and editor with experience spanning journalism, copywriting and cultural analysis, pairing factual rigor with brand storytelling.
As a journalist, I'm fluent in long- and short-form editorial, with work featured in Wallpaper, Kinfolk, Fast Company, Departures and T: The New York Times Style Magazine. I've served in editorial leadership roles for Surface, Frame and Dwell magazines and am known for translating complex ideas and cultural trends into accessible, emotionally resonant stories. I continue to cover a spectrum of design, from architecture, art and travel to creativity-fueled commerce.
As a copywriter and editor, I help creative brands engage and convert customers by speaking to them about culture instead of commerce, consuming experiences instead of things. I craft high-volume marketing content and communications collateral for clients ranging from international brands to emerging artists. Developing voice and style guidelines, book proposals, artist statements, manifestos, product romance, web copy, press releases and advertorials, I work with companies that speak to their audiences in a more editorial voice and represent
objects through their stories.
I bring with me a deep visual sensibility shaped by early experience in
photo editing, and a strategic mindset grounded in research, audience awareness and voice adaptation.
Design can power brands, so I also serve as a consultant. I've developed book content, planned design-centric travel itineraries, curated a plein air design gallery during the New York furniture fair and brokered introductions between designers and potential clients.
From bases in New York City and Istanbul, I've returned to the San Francisco Bay Area where I'm dressing in layers and enjoying the fog.
